Our Story
When we became the custodians of Cafe Zoo, we saw an opportunity to honour its past while giving its name a new meaning for the future.
We’ve redefined “Zoo” through zoe (ζωή), the Greek word for life.
To us, life is found in the simple moments that bring people together—a perfectly brewed coffee, a shared meal, laughter across the table, and the sense of belonging that comes from feeling truly welcome. That vision now sits at the heart of everything we do.
Set within one of Drysdale’s most cherished historic buildings, Cafe Zoo has been part of the community’s story for decades. We are proud to continue that legacy, preserving the warmth and character people have always loved while thoughtfully shaping the next chapter.
